**A Paradigm-Shifting, Rule-Breaking, Turn-Wellness-Upside-Down Kind of Community! **

Forget about perfectly aligned chakras and being expected to be perfect all the time. (While it’s nice when that happens, when life is messy, uncomfortable and the plot twists keep coming, it is time to shake up and wake up our lives!)

Isn’t this midlife experience kind of shocking? I thought when I turned 50, I would have it ALL figured out. My kids were grown, one was married, and one was working and saving for his first house. I had finished going back to college and graduated with the highest honors! All was looking up! 

Then, PLOT TWIST, I got cancer, and everything shifted and changed. My Dad had died of cancer at 51, I had my first cancer surgery on MY 51st BIRTHDAY (no joke, can’t make this crap up! Talk about a mind f*ck!)

The meds and treatments put my body into forced menopause. No preparation for THAT. 🫠 And I did NOT know skin could turn so many assorted colors from radiation. Ouch. 

BUT, I kept hiking, I kept up photography, I kept my spiritual practice up. I kept working and moving. While I may have done too much, it was also important to me that I KEEP LIVING. I traveled during treatment, hiked the Inka trail and the amazon jungle, among other adventures! I have also become an artist later in life, who knew?! 🎨

What I discovered was a new way to approach healing, plot twists and those surprises that come in midlife that can paralyze us and put us in a tailspin. 

There are better ways. Healthier ways. Creative ways. Adventurous ways.

Those pesky PLOT TWISTS keep coming, but what IF we foster a new approach? What IF we decide to move through them in community?
